Daily stressors often result in our mind, body, and spirit going "offline," which can result in cognitive overload, irritability, and physical exhaustion (just to name a few). Various mind-body tools have been scientifically proven to positively influence our individual health and well-being.
So, join us for our first meditative happy hour to relax and "restore" your system by learning three different techniques (breath, progressive muscle relaxation, & visualization) that you will be able to replicate in your daily lives. The majority of this session will be spent practicing these techniques in quiet or guided meditation with the remainder of the time left for discussion.
We will be meeting in the Del Ray Psych office until we can secure a larger space. There is seating on the couch/chairs or there is the option to sit on the floor. Feel free to dress comfortably or come as you are from work. Please try to arrive on time to decrease any disruption to the meditation. Thank you - Lauren & Eleni
