We hope everyone has had a good weekend! For yours truly who is a 49er fan, it has been a great weekend! Here is our Roadrunner Weekly for the week of January 20th through January 24th.
Our Boosterthon Fun Run kicks off tomorrow with our Pep Rally and takes place at the end of the month on January 31st. This is our big fundraiser of the year. Last year, our fundraiser primarily went to support the purchase of our new play structure. Please see below for information on how you can support our Fun Run event!
We also began rehearsal for our first Starstruck Showcase dance performance! The show will take place on March 5th, so mark your calendars!
As a weekly reminder, i-Ready is an important skill builder that our kids can access at school and at home. Our teachers try to build in time during the school day for some practice, but we also encourage your child to continue using it at home also as the program recommends a minimum of 45 minutes per subject, per week to help build math and ELA skills.
Lastly, please check out our staff websites to keep current on homework and class events.
Welcome back, and have a great week!

Boosterthon Fun Run Fundraiser Begins!
Our Boosterthon Fun Run fundraiser kicks off this coming Tuesday, January 21st with our Fun Run Pep Rally! At the rally, in addition to learning about the logistics of the Fun Run fundraiser, our kids will also be introduced to Boosterthon’s new character education theme, Mind Spark, Wild West. It involves a mix of STEAM skills with character building! Along the way, they will take part in challenges that will help them learn about honesty, gratitude, generosity, kindness, and humility.
In terms of the Fun Run itself, our goal is to raise $15,000; last year we raised $15,800, and the money went to fund our new play structure which went in this past September. This year, we are hoping to use the money raised to fund ongoing campus beautification and safety projects such as sunshades and benches for a new outdoor learning area; a decomposed granite walkway behind our primary wing (similar to what was put in this year behind the intermediate wing); additional surveillance cameras; etc.
In order to help us reach our goal, we need your help in the following ways:
- Register your students on FUNRUN.COM. Just getting them registered will earn their first prize!
- Create a “Student Star” video and send out through email and social media to friends and family. Friends and family will be able to pledge online which makes collecting funds super easy!
- Ask your students about the Mind Spark character trait of the day.
Also, be on the lookout Tuesday for the pledge books and additional information your students will be bringing home. Lastly, please watch this two-minute Boosterthon parent informational video for more details.
Thanks in advance for all of your support to our school!
