Meet our NEW Staff!!
Ms. Jenna Makos
Hello! My name is Jenna Makos and this is my 12th year of teaching. I am new in Alder's building this year but it is my third year here at EHT! My primary position is director of instrumental music at the high school but I have been loving teaching 7th and 8th grade string players here at Alder during periods 1 and 2.
I started my school year in December after having my daughter, Sadie who is 7 months old now. I have an older daughter, Liliana, who is turning three in March. My husband, two daughters, two cats, and I reside in Manahawkin, NJ, adjacent to the BEST beach NJ has to offer, Long Beach Island!
My favorite things include spending time with my family, preferably on the beach. I also love cooking-my parents run two restaurants on LBI, The Sandbox Cafe, where I ran the kitchen for 13 summers before I had my children.
Ms. Linda Gisondi
I am an EHT alumni, class of 2000. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree from Rowan University in 2004 with a major in Special Education and a reading certification. My love of teaching children with special needs started when I was 18 and began working summer school at Atlantic County Special Services in Mays Landing. I continued to work there throughout college, and remained working summer school there for 14 years until I had my daughter. I was fortunate enough to be hired here in EHT straight out of college and am currently in my 15th year of teaching. This is my first year at Alder teaching 8th grade ELA and Science, and it’s been a very exciting experience for me. I very much enjoyed coaching Alder’s Field Hockey team this past fall!
My favorite thing to do is spend time with my 4 year old daughter, Colbie, particularly on the beach! I also love playing and watching sports. The New York Giants, and the Philadelphia Flyers are the most fun for me to watch. In Middle School and High School I played field hockey, softball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, and cross country! After my years in school I played football and dodgeball, but currently I’m just play street hockey :)
