Cohort Model or Distance Learning Selection
Starting April 8th, students will be transitioning back to in-person learning in a Cohort Model. If you want your student to remain in distance learning, please make sure to select this in Skyward by 11:59pm on Wednesday March 10th. Please reference the letter I sent via email on Wednesday March 3rd. This email identified your student's cohort, the expectations of each cohort in our Cohort Model, and provided directions on how to make this selection in Skyward. If you don't make a selection, it will be assumed that you want your student to return to school in the Cohort Model.
To inform your decision to allow your student to return in the Cohort Model or remain in Distance Learning, please click the following link to view a generic copy of the letter: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YQFPcx4Ln770ZvdfTf6hVmfybVXEQJV4/view?usp=sharinghttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1YQFPcx4Ln770ZvdfTf6hVmfybVXEQJV4/view?usp=sharing (If the link doesn’t work, please copy and paste it into your search bar).
To help you further with your decision, you can click the link following this paragraph to view the bell schedule that the building will be following. This schedule will be followed in-person as well as synchronously from home. Please note that the Flipped Lab time at 7:45 happens asynchronously. Students can use this time to work on Flipped Lab assignments at home as well as commuting to the school. Information on breakfast and when doors will open will be shared in a later communication. View the schedule here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/15vV0lIUl1qwwrXY7e-SKt4WmNBzDzNfb/view?usp=sharing (If the link doesn’t work, please copy and paste it into your search bar).
Students were automatically placed in their cohorts to fit their schedules and to ensure social distancing. It's important to note the directions in Skyward that cohort group change requests will not be accepted. It may appear when you make your selection in Skyward that you can make a request to change cohort groups, however, all cohort group requests that don't match your student's predetermined cohort group will be denied.

Social Workers are Essential
Social Work Month in March is a time to celebrate the great profession of social work. The theme for Social Work Month 2021 is Social Workers Are Essential. Social workers are essential to community well-being. As practitioners, social workers are trained to help people address personal and systemic barriers to optimal living. They are employed to effect positive change with individuals, families, groups and entire communities. Thank you to our BMHS Social Workers: Shylow Prewitt and Amanda Isunza!
