Breakout EDU
If you loved Escape Haus, imagine engaging your students in a similar game-based escape in your own classroom that supports your class content. Try Breakout EDU! Students have to solve puzzles to open a box in a set amount of time. Check out their website for games and more information.
The library has purchased 3 kits which will be available for checkout beginning Monday, September 19.

Grayling's Song

A Tyranny of Petticoats
by Jessica Spotswood
Poison is Not Polite
by Robin Stevens
App of the Week - Sock Puppets
Why require students to write their answers when they could have a sock puppet speak their answers? Of course this will not work with every assignment, but it could be fun to sprinkle in now and then.
I would love to hear a sock puppet explain the quadratic equation or tell me about a famous scientist or quote Shakespeare!
Remember we are here to help!
