LIFT Weekly Update

All about the Student Ministries at First Baptist Covington

Hey, everybody!

These last couple of weeks of the year, though they are busy, are such a great blessing! Last Wednesday at Student Testimony Night, I was seriously blown away by God's presence among our students. 9 students stood up in front of all of their peers and shared about what God has done in their lives...and they shared a lot! We went way over time because they had so much to share!

This Wednesday will be another great celebration because it's our famous LIFT Christmas Party! This week, students will bring THEIR OWN MONEY (around $20 is a good start) so that we can separate them into groups and give them the Christmas list of a less-fortunate child so we can all go to Walmart, buy gifts, bring them back, wrap them, eat food, and party! It's an extended night, so plan to arrive by 5:45pm and be finished by 8pm.

Remember, there is NO PRAYER BREAKFAST TOMORROW!!! It will return after the New Year.

Mark your calendars for Sunday January 10th. We are hosting a one-day conference for parents and teenagers called, "Devices: Living and Parenting in a World of Technology." It will be an incredible night that will equip your family to approach all the technology in your life with biblical wisdom. We're bringing in Adam McLane, author of "The Parents Guide to Social Media," as well as several other experts in various areas. The conference will be FREE, and you definitely don't want to miss it! Please register your family HERE so that we can have a head count.
