- It says that the sun is at the center and the Earth revolves around it.
Galileo Galilei
Galileo Galilei invented the telescope
- Although his telescope proved Copernicus correct, his work was rejected by the church.
- he was forced to take back to face execution.
Isaac Newton
Isaac Newton built upon the work of Copernicus and Galileo.
- He used Math to describe gravity as the force that keeps planets revolving around the sun.
- Explained that the same force is what causes objects to fall to Earth.
