Homecoming
We are looking to create another wonderful Ixonia float in this year's Oconomowoc Homecoming Parade. This year's theme is There's No Place Like Ocon.
The theme for our float will be something Wizard of Oz!
We are looking for as many hands to help on the following dates:
- Wednesday, October 2nd – 4 to 6 pm (Float Building)
- Thursday, October 3rd (Tentative) – 4-6 pm (Float Building)
- Friday, October 4th – 5 PM Homecoming Parade
HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED -- ALL ARE WELCOME!
1. Float building - hosted by the Bock Family, N7802 Winter Lane, Oconomowoc, WI
2. Parade: All are welcome to walk with Ixonia in the parade. We ask that each family bring a bag of candy to pass out. The parade is Friday, October 4th. Those walking should arrive by 5:00 p.m. You will need to look for the Ixonia float somewhere along Oakwood Ave. Costumes are strongly encouraged related to a Wizard of Oz theme (parents too!). If you'd rather just wear your purple Ixonia shirt, that is OK too.
3. Candy donation: If you'd rather watch the parade, you can also help by donating a bag of candy. Candy can be sent to school anytime starting September 30th through the day of the parade.

Book Fair is coming Oct 11-17th!!
It's a SPOOKY Good Time!!!
It's our 4th Annual Ixonia Elementary Halloween Dance! NEW This year... We will be featuring a DJ from VTG Productions who will entertain the kiddos and make sure there is more structure to the "dancing" portion of the night! We will be selling dinner plates, (Brats or Hot dogs with chips, fruit, carrots, and Oreos), concessions, popcorn, and we will have a movie on in the cafeteria for those who would like to chill out for awhile!
It's a lot of fun, and if you plan on coming anyways, why not help out? :) We are asking for helpers to set up decorations and the kitchen, serve food, sell concessions, help with activities through out the night, and also guard the hallways. We will delegate as needed during the dance, depending on how many volunteers we have to help out. Please click below to sign up! Thank you!!

Volunteer & Chaperone Background Checks
Would you like to volunteer or chaperone a field trip at the school? All school volunteers must pass a background check prior to volunteering.
The Oconomowoc Area School District is now using SecureVolunteer to process criminal background checks for volunteers. All volunteers must be screened prior to volunteering for a school event or in a building.
SecureVolunteer is a completely web-based/paperless system. BIB takes personal data security and privacy very seriously and has instituted safeguards to protect personal data.
Background checks are good for 3 years.
