EOG Makeup Testing Schedule for June 3-June 7
· Thank you to all of our faculty and staff members that supported our testing sessions this past Wednesday & Thursday. We have concluded the main testing session but we still have makeup testing for scholars who were absent last week. Make up testing will take place Monday-Wednesday of this week.
Spartan Field Day 6/5/19 1:00-3:00
We will have our 2019 Spartan Field Day on June 5th from 1:00-3:00pm. During the field day we will have a 3 on 3 basketball tournament, soccer tournament, video game truck, ball pit, food and icees, inflatable obstacles courses, plus much more. Requirements to attend the field day are…
- Growth on your reading or science EOG or EOC
- Perfect attendance between May 22-June 3
- No ISS or OSS from May 22-June 4
- And no discipline bounces to another classroom setting between May 22-June 4th
8th Grade Promotion Ceremonies
Our 8th grade promotion ceremonies will be on Thursday at 9:30 for Team A and Friday at 9:30 for Team B.
Empowering Extraordinary Capital Campaign Kickoff Celebration 6/9/19
All staff, students, parents and community members are invited to join us for an end of year celebration of food, games and fun on Sunday, June 9th from 3:00-5:00 on the SMS Athletic Fields. The Empowering Extraordinary capital campaign and summer kickoff celebration is a fundraiser to support the Sedgefield Middle School PTO and Capital needs of the school for the 2019-20 school year. New Curriculum Professional Development 6/11-6/12
Thank you to all of those that have reached out to us to express your excitement about our new curriculum selections. We are excited too! Please share the following information with your teachers regarding the required curriculum training.
Given the comprehensive nature of the curriculum, we are providing a two-day training for teachers on June 11 & 12. Teachers will attend both days.
- Who should attend?
- K-3 ELA Teachers
- Grade 6 ELA Teachers
- Grade 8 Math Teachers
- All EC, EL, and TD Teachers that support these contents/grade levels
- Teacher Leaders that support these contents/ grade levels (MCL’s, AF’s, Coaches, etc.)
- Who should not attend?
- School Leaders--Principals, assistant principals and deans will receive a separate training later this summer that is personalized to leaders’ needs and support.
- Teachers must register to help facilitators personalize training to the needs of teachers as outlined in the following forms:
