Principal's Message
Dear Miller Families,
We are off to an amazing start to the school year with much enthusiasm and anticipation for an even greater year. I’m delighted to announce that Miller earned an “A” rating for exemplary performance from the Texas Education Agency (TEA), which shows how well we prepared students for success both in school and after high school. Miller Intermediate performed exceptionally well in the following:
- Academic Achievement in Mathematics
- Academic Achievement in English Language Arts / Reading
- Top 25% Comparative Academic Growth
- Post-Secondary Readiness
- Top 25% Comparative Closing the Gaps
Our goal is to continue the momentum in increasing the academic achievement and growth of our students. We ask that you partner with us to promote the best learning experience for your child and ensure their academic success. Please continue to:
- communicate with your child’s teacher
- check and sign your child’s planner daily
- set aside time to and place for your child to complete homework praise your child for their effort in academics and appropriate behavior
Our teachers and staff are relentless in the work they do to prepare students and ensure their success. Thank you, our families, for all you do to support, promote and ensure the success of our students. As our school theme this year states, “Game On! Mavericks Achieving Excellence Together!”, I encourage you to get involve and participate in the events and activities here at Miller Intermediate. A great way to get involve is to sign up to be a volunteer on campus. Please take a moment to view our website periodically and follow us on Twitter @MillerMavsAISD for news and updates. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Seymour Stewart, Principal
