JP Elder MS

Elder Volleyball had a successful first tournament for both 8th grade and 7th grade A teams.

8th Grade won first in their pool which clenched them into Gold Bracket play. They came off strong with a first win in bracket play but ended up losing in the semifinals taking home 4th place. These girls played with heart and learned what it’s like to play as a team and how they can be better moving into the middle of district play. MVP goes to Hiliana Montes for her love for the game and endless effort. This athlete sets the example for the entire volleyball program!

7th Grade played a total of 4 games getting better set by set! MVP of the tournament goes to Nevaeh Murillo with phenomenal serving, passing, and a contagious energy!

Please give a huge shout out to our JP Elder Volleyball girls for all their hard work last night over Monnig MS. 7A, 7B, and 8A all came out with wins! 🏐🤘🏾

Our gameday MVPs were:

7B: Celeste Ramírez

7A: Liliana Martínez

8B: Jocelyn Ibarra

8A: Brielle Armstrong

FWISD Shout Out

Diamond Hill-Jarvis HS: Fall Softball

On behalf of myself and Coach Perez, I just wanted to say thank each of you for allowing some of your girls to come out and participate in the game last night. The girls won 8-0 against Chisolm Trail! We had some amazing plays and catches from the girls from the other sports as well as our returners. The interest in softball this year continues to increase, and this powerful vibe we felt last night between the girls and their families, as well as our girls' athletic program in general this year, wouldn't be successful without all of you. Thanks so much for all the continued support!

Coach Davila

Dunbar HS
