Endangered Pandas

The giant panda is one of the most loved animals in the world. But, it's also one of the most endangered animals. Giant pandas have black shoulders and legs, and the rest of their bodies are white. In my opinion, they're one of the cutest animals ever! Their average weight is about 220-250 pounds. They're a little fat, but that just makes them cuter.

Pandas are getting closer and closer to becoming extinct. There are only a couple thousand pandas alive today. Pandas have become endangered because of habitat destruction. Most pandas live in China. As you may know, China is overpopulating. So, to make more room for humans to live and work, panda habitats are being destroyed. Bamboo is also being destroyed by development. Some pandas are dieing from starvation because they don't have bamboo to eat.

How can you help?

1. Donate or adopt a panda from the World Wildlife Fund.

Wildlife reserves have been made throughout China. These reserves are made to give the pandas a home. You can help by donating and/or adopting a panda from the Wildlife

Funds.

2. Take care of bamboo.

Panda eat bamboo. Without bamboo, it'll be hard for pandas to not die from starvation. If we do not cut down bamboo, then pandas will have bamboo to eat.

3. Protect the environment.

Pandas live in habitats all over the environment. If we take care of the environment, then we're taking care of panda's homes.
