Bartholomew and the Oobleck
This is one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books. To celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday, we read it and talked about the moral (the lesson learned). We experimented with oobleck and got really messy. In addition to Bartholomew, we have read several other Dr. Seuss book and discussed what the author was trying to teach us.
Please enjoy the videos below that show our thinking and reasoning.

Owls in the Rainforest
Small groups worked together to research owls in the rainforest. They learned about the owls' habitat, characteristics, and diet. Learners brainstormed a plan for construction. Next up, making it real!
And then, there were 4!
We are down to our final four books for our Book Madness competition; Mustache Baby, Bark George, Baby Beebee Bird, and That is NOT a Good Idea. We reveal the winner next Wednesday!!!
