Prepárate!

TCHS would like to invite students and families to Prepárate! Prepárate is a bilingual educational event to prepare students and families for success at TCHS and explore college/career opportunities after high school. This year’s event will take place on Wednesday, September 20th from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm. We will have Spanish, Swahili, and Arabic translators at the event. The event will offer mini workshop sessions and a college/community resource fair. Please contact Ms. Baca for questions.

School Pictures

Underclass photos are now online and available to families. You may view and order photos by visiting lexpix.gotphoto.com and entering your personal access code or scanning the QR code on your ticket.


Lexpix is offering expedited printing and direct shipping home for free on orders over $33. The deadline code is on the ticket each student received on picture day. Families can of course get free batch shipping to school for any order.


Lexpix will return to TCHS on October 13, for underclass retakes.

ACT Testing

The ACT will be given at TCHS on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. This test is optional for any 12th grade students. Seniors who choose to take the ACT will need their charged Chromebook and a calculator on the test date.

The deadline to sign up is Friday, September 29. Please use the link below to register your senior for the ACT.

ACT Workshop

We will be hosting our free ACT prep workshop on October 9th and October 12th from 9:00 am-11:30 am in the Tates Creek High School cafeteria. This workshop is for seniors only to prepare for the October 18th ACT Test.


We will host another workshop in the spring for sophomores and juniors. Students who register must attend both sessions. The window to register is September 18, 2023- September 29, 2023. Students must be registered in order to participate. Students need to use their student email address to access the QR code registration link. The QR code for registration will be posted in each academy common area. They may also register through this link https://forms.gle/oT89BNYPGmqVbMEY7.

Calling all SENIORS - District Career Fair Info

  1. All 12th graders in FCPS will travel by bus on October 10, 2023, to Central Bank Center, Exhibit Hall C in Lexington, KY. While attending the event students will have the opportunity to visit with numerous college/university representatives to learn more about the application process, requirements to be admitted, scholarships, financial aid, and education opportunities. Students will also be able to meet with business representatives from a variety of local and national business/company representatives to learn about the hiring process, open positions, what they are looking for in a new hire and qualifications needed. As part of our FCPS Portrait of a Graduate attending this event will provide an opportunity to continue to plan for the future.
  2. The FCPS college and career fair is open to any high school student on October 10, 2023, at Central Bank Center, Exhibit Hall C from 6 - 8 pm. Homecoming Information

We are excited to announce that this year's Homecoming dance will be held on Saturday, October 21st. To ensure adequate supervision, tickets will be limited to 500.


Students must have an eOS average of at least 85% (for the 4 weeks prior to the event) and have no referrals for drugs, alcohol, or violence.


Tickets are $25 and will go on sale starting Monday, October 16th on the following schedule:

Monday, October 16th - seniors only

Tuesday, October 17th - juniors and seniors only

Wednesday, October 18th - sophomores, juniors, and seniors only

Thursday, October 19th and Friday, October 20th - all grades
