Year 6 natural disaster investigators

We've had a super week in school and there have been lots of opportunities for me to feel incredibly proud of your children and our staff team. Showing visiting Deputy Headteacher candidates around school and welcoming prospective parents last night were just two of these occasions. It's a real privilege to hear such positive comments visitors make about your children and their learning.

Believe it or not, next week is the last week of this half term - where did the time go? There are some brilliant events to look forward to. Our PTA have organised the Halloween disco, 'Petrify your Pumpkin' event and the Smarties Challenge. Information on some of these events can be found later on on this newsletter. In addition, we have bike riding courses, house reward afternoon, Indian dancing, a Gruffalo morning and Year 1 trip to Nell Bank too!

I hope everyone has a great weekend and has chance to recharge their batteries before what promises to be an action packed last week of the half term.

compulsory parent permission forms

You all should have received an important form that must be competed by all parents / carers.

This form relates to permission for your child to have photos taken, go on local walks etc.

A copy of this form can also be downloaded below.

Please can these be returned to school as a matter of urgency - thank you.

children in need

For children in need on Friday 16th November, we are inviting the children to wear spots in return for a money contribution towards this worthwhile cause.

This falls on the same day as our PTA non uniform day in return for chocolate donations for the Christmas fair.

This will be a super joint event, where we will hopefully see as many children as possible in non uniform and / or spots, with a chocolate donation. If you can spare any money for a Children in Need contribution too; that'd be massively appreciated!
