Why is water Important?
- You can only live a few days without water
- Keeps you hydrated
- Hydration: getting enough water to meet all the body's needs
- If you don't drink enough water you can become dehydrated
How you can get more water
- Drink a full glass of water right before bed
- Every time you pass a water fountain, take a drink
- Carry a sports bottle around
- Drink water before, during and after physical activity

80-90% of water is in fruit and vegetables
Milk
There is 90% of water in milk
Seafood
60-85% of seafood is water
How do you know how much to drink?
Take your weight and divide it by 2. Then that gives you how many ounces you need. In order to get that to cups, divide your answer by 8.
