Biography about Kublai Khan
Kublai Khan is the grandson of Genghis Khan, Kublai was born in Mongolia. He was the fifth Great Khan of the Mongol Empire and the founder of the Yuan Dynasty in China. Mongolian general and Emperor, Kublai Khan conquered China. Khan assumed the title as emperor of China and his conquest of the Song Dynasty was their last efforts to rule China entirely.
Kublai was strong, intelligent, fearless, he accompanied his father in battle as a child. By age 12 he became a skilled horseman which grew his reputation as a warrior. At age 17 his father passed away but he didn't play an important role as an emperor until age 30. At that age his brother became the Great Khan of the Mongol Empire. Kublai got control over the China territories at eastern part of empire. But in August 1259 his brother Mngke got killed by defense, and his younger brother Arigbge took over. Arigbge ignored what Kublai declared then battled his brother. Soon Kublai became decalred emperor.
