Families are invited on Thursday at 5pm to come visit the Jr High. This will be a self-paced event with families encouraged to stop in and visit with their students' teachers as they choose. You may view your child's locker, and each of their classrooms where teachers will introduce themselves and share relevant information for their courses. Boston Field Experience Mandatory Parent/Guardian Meeting Thursday 6:30 in the Cafeteria
All students are invited to take a school trip to Boston in May. Academic, attendance, and behavior criteria are considered and we provide multiple fund raisers for all and several opportunities for scholarships for students with financial need. The trip location alternates each year between Boston and Washington, DC. This mandatory meeting will answer many of the questions and concerns you may have. If you are unable to attend the meeting please reach out to the trip advisors Mrs. Heather Taylor (
htaylor@mcs.k12.ny.us) or Mrs. Jessica Jarrett (
jjarrett@mcs.k12.ny.us)
Please take advantage of this opportunity to receive assistance with internet service.
FREE Breakfast AND FREE Lunch for ALL Massena Students
We are very fortunate as a district to be able to offer free meals to our students. IN ORDER FOR THIS TO CONTINUE, we cannot stress enough the importance of completing and returning the family income forms that were sent home. Federal funds are provided only if we are able to show our district's need. Even if you think you won't qualify, please still fill them out. The percentage of families that we gather data from is important. If you need help filling out the form please reach out to Mrs. Kristin Colarusso-Martin, our director of food services (
kcmartin@mcs.k12.ny.us).
