Alamo School Calendar

2020-21 Instructional Calendar Board REVISED due to COVID (Posted 08/04/2020) (PDF)

Dear Alamo Families,

This week we celebrate our dedicated Alamo staff to recognize their lasting contributions to our students' lives. They play a critical role in educating and shaping our children, the future leaders of our country. They are kind, patient, hard-working, dedicated, and understanding professionals who help mold our children and guide them in positive directions.

Our exceptional staff has been strong during these unique times. They have shown up day in and day out to serve our community. They love our students and have sacrificed to guarantee students have access to education. I am beyond grateful for the staff here at Alamo.

Staff Appreciation Day this week - A HUGE shout-out and kudos to Anji Kobayashi for all her hard work on helping me put together staff appreciation baskets for the 36 staff at Alamo School. She made fun little tags for everything from Extra gum (thanks for going the EXTRA mile) to bags of chips (You’re all that and a bag of chips!). Her creative touch made all the staff smile. Another shout out and thank you to Nicole Rocca who bought all the cute little plant favors in the baskets. My plan to make bouquets was cut short when I opened the box of vases I had ordered and found out they shipped the wrong size!!!! Who can fit a bouquet in a vase that is 2 inches tall??? Ha! Nicole jumped right in there and saved my floral disaster… Thank you to these 2 amazing parent volunteers (who both work full time btw!) for helping make all the staff smile!

Alamo Mustang Families!!!! Did you know, Alamo PTA brings the FUN to Alamo School! The PTA needs you!!!! Fun things are planned for the 2021-22 school year like Hoedown, Holiday Shop and Grandparents Day but we can’t do these things for your kids without volunteers! You can view a list of all positions HERE Please email any board members, Nicole Rocca or Michelle Petersen for interest, questions or comments!

The next PTA Principal Chat is Thursday, May 6 @ 6:30pm. Register HERE

In case you missed it, the San Ramon Valley Council of PTAs presented a virtual Family Engagement opportunity featuring speakers from C.O.P.E. (Counseling Options and Parent Education) The presentation focused on the pros and cons of video games for children. It was recorded, and if you are interested you can view the presentation HERE

Have a great week!
