MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH
The month of May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Youth and Children's Mental Health Awareness Day is recognized nationally on Sunday, May 7. To honor Youth and Children's Mental Health Awareness Day, we are asking that all staff and students wear green on Monday, May 8. Green represents new beginnings and growth. By wearing green, we are showing that we support positive mental health practices for everyone.
Our Media Center is also set up with some fun, relaxing, and mindful activities for students to do before school and during lunch. A variety of activities will be taking place in the media center throughout the month!

TROYBERY
Hello ONE Troy!
The TSD middle school media centers celebrated their 23rd annual Troybery Award Program this year, challenging students to read and vote on the best middle grade books that were published in 2021.
In November, students could check out the potential Troybery titles—32 in total—in our media centers or as e-books in the Sora app. In March, they voted to narrow down the list to the top ten, and then voted in April for the best of the ten finalists.
The 2023 virtual ceremony features videos and artwork created by students from all four middle schools, as well as reveals third runner-up, second runner-up, first runner-up, and Troybery Award Winner.
Check it out for yourself--this is not to be missed!

EARLY PICK-UP REMINDER
NO STUDENT PICK-UP AFTER 2:45PM
Please remember that we ask that parents do not pick students up after 2:45pm unless it is a true emergency. If you have an appointment to get to, please pick students up before 2:45pm.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Please take a moment to review the drop-off / pick-up map below. We are seeing some specific issues in the parking lot that we want to bring to your attention.
- The middle lane is for drop-off / pick-up only. Please do not park in that row. Pulling in and out of the parking spots is slowing down drop-off and creating dangerous situations for students and vehicles.
- If you are going to park your car for drop-off / pick-up, please use the third row of parking spots highlighted in below in blue.
- Please do not drop students off at the Martell/Cotswold intersection.
Thank you for your continued patience and attention to safety as we have over 600 students entering and exiting our school every day!
We have a great online spirit wear store with a number of new modern styles and items for purchase. You can either pick them up or utilize the option of having your orders delivered directly to your home for a small fee.
