ESC REGION 11 MIGRANT EDUCATION PROGRAM (MEP)

Did You Know?

That mobility across school district lines in the past 36 months and temporary farm work in the last 36 months will most likely make a family eligible for the MEP?

Do you know a family like this?

If so, recommend them today, at migrant@esc11.net.

Marketing/Recruitment Materials Coming Soon!

It is time to update recruitment material in Region 11!

We have new posters and inserts for each district/charter.

This summer, the team will drop off marketing material to the main MEP contact in each district/charter. We request your assistance in distributing these materials to each of your campuses.

They could each pick them up from your office or your office can distribute at a district-wide meeting.

If your district/charter would like more insert holders (plastic stands), please CLICK HERE TO fill out the google form.

Immunization Records

Just a friendly reminder that all immunization records and health alert cards should be sent to Tonya Munoz by April 9, so that she can enter them in the migrant database. Please send to tmunoz@esc11.net or fax to 817-740-3622.

Camp Thurman for Middle School and High School Students

Leadership Skills are an important part of success for migratory students. Many migratory students experience a higher rate of transition than the larger population.

We are inviting all migratory in grades 5-12 to participate in a day of team building, adventure, and problem solving! Please encourage campus personnel to endorse this trip with all middle school and high school students on the district/charter MEP Unique Student Count Report. Please contact migrant@esc11.net to reserve spots for your students and for any questions you may have.
