Laptop Collection 5th Grade...Begins Monday, April 30th!
Students may begin to bring laptops back on Monday, April 30th-Friday, May 4th. The reason for having laptops in the classroom and staying in the classroom is to get ready for state testing. 5th grade will do all state testing on their laptops and to insure that all laptops are safe and charged we are requiring them to be collected the week before testing. Students can begin leaving their laptop (Device, Charger, and Bag) any day between April 30th and May 4th. Everything is due back by May the 4th.

SURPLUS BALANCES
At the end of the school year, surplus balances in student meal accounts for those who pay full or reduced prices for meals will remain in the account and will roll over to the next school year or can be reimbursed at the request of the parent.
Students who graduate or withdraw will be notified by mail and given the option to receive a refund for balances of $5.00 or more. Attendance Policy
This is an important new attendance regulation our school district will be following this year and going forward!!
The United States Department of Education Office of Civil Rights (OCR) defines an “Absent Student” as one who doesn’t attend 50% of the instructional day”.
Keeping this state law in mind, if your child arrives at school at 7:45 am they must be in class until 11:05 am in order for them to be counted present for the day.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office.
