We've Been 'Elfed'
You will notice your classroom has an elf that is hanging out in your classrooms watching for CHAMP behavior. Please read Paloma Creek Elementary's Extraordinary Exuberant Enthusiastic Elves to your kids after morning announcements today. By clicking on the blue hyperlink, you will have the story you can project on your screen. Have fun moving your elf around the room each afternoon after the kids go home and write notes to the kids from your elf.

Wildly Important Goals
Choose Your Thoughts
By Carol Moehrle
The greatest weapon against stress is our ability to choose one thought over another.
—William James
Life is all about choices: what we eat, what we wear, what we say, but most importantly, what we think. We set the tone for the day with the thoughts we have each morning. The most important routine you can get into is to establish positive thoughts each day. Don't dwell on the negative, even though those thoughts are often heavy and occupy our minds. Push aside those heavy thoughts and focus on something positive.
Here are a few thoughts that I choose to focus on each day.
Consider these thoughts:
I can . . .
I will . . .
I am energized.
I am happy.
I am thankful.
Start each new day with a positive thought, and your day will be filled with positive, healthy outcomes.
We all make choices. Choose the thoughts that decrease your stress and make you happy.
