Run or Walk our first-ever 5K Color Run/Walk!

The focus for this run is on fun, this will be a great activity for the whole family! We'll have activities before, during and after this 5K run/walk that will take you on a course around the main OPS campus. Explore our grounds and enjoy fun stops along the way while supporting a great cause!

This will be a color run. Your $25 registration includes a white t-shirt with this year's purple week logo, purple sunglasses to protect your eyes and a purple mask. Masks will be required.

Wait! There's more! A unique feature of this year's 5K is that you can join in person or virtually. Maybe you want to recruit family members to support the cause from around the state or country - you can do that with this event!

REGISTER FOR THE 5K COLOR RUN/WALK TODAY Registration is open until May 15th.

Purple Apparel on Sale Now!

Senior Ashley Goodrich won the design contest with a beautiful design that represents the science, heart and purpose of purple week! The DNA Helix is tied in with a purple ribbon and surrounded by words that we've used in past events that show our passion for the cause of cancer research! Strength, Hope, Courage.

Make a Donation!

If you would like to support our Purple Week with a straight donation, you can do that! With Purple Community, 100% of your donation goes directly to research. OPS Purple Week goes toward cancer and Parkinson's research at Van Andel Institute.

Be a Sponsor or Enlist a Sponsor!

If you are a part of a business or organization, or know someone who might want to support our Purple Week, have them join us! This year, we do not have the traditional sponsorship menu based on monetary donations; we know that the pandemic has hit people differently financially and we wanted to make sure anyone could be involved if they wish.

This year, sponsorships can be donations, participation, proceed portions or another idea!

Here is the sponsorship letter and link to be a sponsor.

Adopt a section of the 5K route!

Here's a fun way for your family, school, classroom, club, team, organization, etc. to get involved! The 5K route will wind around the OPS main campus and you can pick a section of that route to decorate with sidewalk chalk, signs and people to cheer on the participants! The creativity is up to you!

If you'd like to Adopt a Section, contact Holly McCaw at hmccaw@otsegops.org.

Spring Sports are Going Purple!

Soccer, Softball, Baseball, Golf and Tennis are all purchasing special purple jerseys or shirts for a home game near Purple Week. The players all get the first option to buy their own jersey and put a name on the shirt that honors a loved one impacted by cancer or Parkinson's. However, not all players will want to order their shirts, but will still have one to wear. That's where you can come in!

If a player chooses not to order their own, they are available for purchase by someone from the community. The purchaser gets to choose the name, the player wears that jersey at the game, then gives it to the buyer after the game to keep.

If you are interested in getting on a wait list for any of these sports, please email Holly McCaw at hmccaw@otsegops.org.
