Tiger Times - Update
Saturday, March 21, 2020
Dear MHS Family -
Wow! What a week we have had! I want to say thank you to you, our families, for supporting digital learning for our students. Our teachers have been hard at work building online learning classrooms for your students, and we have had a week jam-packed with learning for adults! We thank our students for your diligence and your good faith effort to continue learning. We are also thankful for the online social space that our classrooms provide - WE ARE MILLENNIUM!
** With the announcement on Friday afternoon, the school closings have been extended through April 10th. We will continue with our full online curriculum efforts moving forward. The work that everyone is doing continues to inspire us.
- Concerns regarding graduation, Prom and other major events will be addressed in the next few days. We will be closely monitoring the Governor's communications on closures and statewide decisions. **
- Update regarding attendance and state testing: HB2910/SB1693 Passed Legislature
We want to address with our families that we understand that life is stressful right now, that life is often in turmoil, and that we recognize that our teenagers are probably working jobs and often taking care of their siblings during this unprecedented time in the world. That being said, our teachers are remaining flexible and forgiving, and also very communicative. Please always feel free to reach out to teachers, counselors or administrators for help and guidance.
Please visit the Parent Hub COVID-19 (English/Español) site and fill out the Google Form if you are having any Chromebook issues. The form that is there for you to fill out goes directly to our Media Specialist, Martha Zeller and our Network Technician, Sara Spencer. They will address your concerns as soon as possible.
Congratulations on a hard but successful week Millennium! Our students are absolutely amazing and we thank you families for sharing them with us! We are in awe of how they have learned a new way of going to school. Please enjoy your weekend and take time for your family. We wish you health and wellness.
Thank you!
- Ms. Madsen
