Chester School District Wins Future Ready Certification
On Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, Future Ready Schools (FRS-NJ) notified the Chester School District that all three of our schools earned Bronze Level Certification under the Future Ready Schools Certification Program, a coalition of the New Jersey School Boards Association, New Jersey Institute of New Jersey of Technology and the New Jersey Department of Education, is designed to best prepare our students for success in the digital age by promoting skills, abilities and capacities essential for success in college, career and citizenship. Additionally, the FRS-NJ Program enables and fosters collaboration both within and between schools and districts throughout the State of New Jersey. FRS-NJ is based on the Future Ready Framework developed by the Alliance for Excellence in Education.
This is an enormous achievement and is a direct result of our talented staff who participated in the eight months long process. Attaining the Bronze Level status is the first step of many, as we look to achieving Silver and Gold in the future. The entire community should be very proud of this achievement as it is an amazing accolade shared by all. The Chester School District will be recognized for these awards at the New Jersey School Boards Conference in October.

CHESTER CHAT
Chester PTO and the Educational Foundation of the Chesters
The Chester PTO and the Educational Foundation of the Chesters remain two of the most essential elements of the Chester School District for their continued support of our students and faculty. In essence, so many of our most engaging enrichment activities and many of our foundational programs come directly from their support. This includes athletic and club stipends for our teachers, cultural arts programs, school supplies and materials. I urge you to support and join both of these worthwhile organizations. More information about joining the PTO and the Educational Foundation can be found on our homepage under the Parents tab.
