Meet Craig: Associate Dean of Students for Campus Life
Main Responsibilities: Oversee all programmatic initiatives for Campus Life Office. Supervise Campus Life Professional staff.
How RA's will interact with me: To give feedback about Campus Life programs and student issues on campus. I like to be used as a "sounding board" for RAs as they explore how to solve issues or problems.
A Few of My Favorite Things: Movies, Minnesota Professional Sports Teams, The Top 10 Music Charts, Pandas (other than the "Kung Fu" variety!!!!!)
What Are You Most Excited About For The Summer: All the many programmatic changes we're making to the RA training schedule and to the Campus Life Office (Really! I have such the boring life.).
During the late 1990's, Craig worked part time as the oldest video store clerk in the state of Iowa (this cannot be proven, but it felt that way!).
Craig's biggest regret is he did not continue to play the piano after he graduated from college (16 years of lessons and playing down the drain!).
Meet Koreen: Assistant Director of Campus Life for Housing Operations
How do you interact with me? Well there are several ways. I coordinate the move in/out process, room changes, break housing, RCRs and billing, In addition I will supervise most of the upper class RAs.(All except Post and Raub/Sellew), the upper class programming, and the duty schedule.
I am sure I am forgetting something. I am looking forward to this year.
Meet Eleanor: Assistant Director of Campus Life for Residential and Greek Education
Outside of residence life Eleanor is the Greek Life Advisor, if you or your residents have questions or concerns about Fraternity/Sorority Life Eleanor is your go to person!
Eleanor loves her cats (Prairie Fire and Dragon), baked goods (especially chocolate chip cookies), and traveling!
This summer Eleanor is most excited about all the time she gets to spend traveling to see friends and family! So far the highlight was her trip to San Francisco & Sonoma Valley! In the office she is having a ton of fun finalizing the RA Schedule with Craig. It is going to be . . . . LEGENDARY!
Something you might not know, Eleanor traveled across a state line by hot air balloon!
Work for Campus Life: August 1st!
Contact Koreen if you are interested. kekerfoot@knox.edu.
First Communication with Residents!
I know, I am struggling to contain my excitement too. Once you receive that roster you need to send something to your residents introducing yourself and welcoming them to the community! This message should be creative! It is a great opportunity to set the tone for your community. Videos, emails, Facebook pages, a combination of the three. Be sure to copy your supervisor on this message so they know you met the deadline and can praise you for your creativity and awesomeness!!! This message should be sent by July 24th, 2017!
If you have questions talk with your supervisor, I know they would love to help you make the best first impression possible!
Fall Training Theme and T-shirt Design
We also ask that you think outside of the box and do not just put RA in the Super man logo.
Designs should be sent to Eleanor via email and must be in by July 24th to be considered!
