SJA Resource Guide

Second Sunday of Easter

Dear SJA Parishioners,

Happy Easter! May the joy of Easter be in our hearts as we continue to participate in this meaningful church season from our homes. It was only a month ago that I was enjoying getting to know all of you face to face. I sincerely look forward to the time when we can worship together again.

In Sunday's Gospel we were reminded three times of Jesus's love when he spoke the words: "Peace be with you". Jesus was insisting that He sincerely wants to take away our fears and anxiety. When we have confidence in the Lord and truly believe and rely on Christ, His peace will encompass us, just as it did His apostles. Luke's Gospel was filled with so many theological gems. I encourage you to listen to Father Barron's homily from April 19th to hear his insightful Gospel reflection: Bishop Barron Homily April 19 (click this link).

As we move through these weeks of uncertainty together, I want to share with you some popular online resources that can accompany you in your daily routine and enrich your spiritual life. Please know that Father Gary and the ministerial staff of SJA are keeping you in our daily prayers as we look forward to future opportunities for in-person fellowship. May the peace of the risen Christ be with us all.

Blessings and Prayers,

Amanda Haberman
