This meeting will include information regarding spring performance opportunities for our marching band. It has been a work in progress for several months, but we are looking forward to providing unique and memorable experiences for our students in the coming months. Please do understand that there are still many questions that will arise and I ask for your flexibility as we continue to move forward.

There will be an informational meeting for all parents/ guardians on Monday, January 10 at 7 PM via Zoom. All band families are strongly encouraged to attend. During this meeting, I will go through the document attached to this email in great detail along with provide additional information that will be helpful for planning purposes. For any that may not be able to attend this meeting, I will send out a recap email later on in the week that will hopefully answer any questions you may have.

To prepare for the upcoming concert on Friday, January 21st, please clean and steam your band jacket and sweat collar. It's the perfect time to take your jacket to the Lehigh Valley Dry Cleaners if you haven't already done so. Students will pick up and return their white pants to the uniform room the night of the concert. We look forward to seeing everyone at the Winter Band Concert!

TIMES: Concert begins at 7pm

10 - 12 Concert Band: report @ 5:00pm

9th Grade & Wind Ensemble: report @ 5:45pm

UNIFORM: Full uniform (no hats or gloves), white pants, long white socks

The IMA relies on the participation of its members to chaperone student events and to support and organize fundraising events. All IMA members with ACT 153 clearances on file with the Easton Area School District are eligible to participate as a chaperone or volunteer.

Our EAHS "Red Rover" Marching Band was officially accepted to perform in the 2022 NYC St. Patrick's Day Parade. This parade is one of the largest parades in the country and typically has between 1,000,000 - 2,000,000 spectators!

The parade takes place on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Please be on the lookout for more information in the coming weeks, along with a parent/ guardian informational meeting. The cost of this day trip is $55 and would cover transportation (charter buses) along with all other costs associated with the parade.

We will be holding an 8th grade parent/ guardian informational night on Monday, January 31 at 7pm via zoom. This meeting is for ALL current 8th graders in the instrumental music program (guard, band instrumental, orchestra).

The contents of this meeting will include:

• An overview of the HS program
• Plans for the 2022 - 2023 school year
• Scheduling (both course & full year)
• Hearing from current HS students

Current 8th graders will be receiving information about this night this week.

The next pickup date for sportswear will be Wednesday, January 12, at 6pm in the band room. This will include the remaining orders from the online sale, as well as the jackets & gray Beast crew neck sweatshirts from the December sale.
