Words Their Way
We are finally finished with NWEA testing and also almost finished with Sarah, Plain and Tall. I am very ready to get our guided reading groups and stations starting the week of the 14th.
We are working on writing small moments. I also might take a step back and review some paragraph writing with this class for a few weeks.
Today we reviewed chapter 1 with a study guide. We will have our first test on Tuesday. The study guide that students bring home tonight will closely mirror the test. Students have been asked to review the study guide that we went over in class.
We are also going to being an addition station to review and practice our basic facts.
Don't' forget our very important parent/student meeting that will kick-off our specialty animal project. This meeting will be held right after we return from our zoo trip. Our hope is to begin right at 2:00. If you have never been through the third grade specialty project, I highly recommend you attend.
For the field trip students will need a sack lunch and comfortable shoes. Please dress for the weather. We are also asking that students wear a green shirt or eagles spirit wear since we don't have our JAT shirts yet.
