Library Link

February 2019

Director's Note

Did you know that your library card offers you benefits outside of the library? Starting last summer we began a partnership with participating Iowa public libraries and area Iowa attractions. It is called Adventure Pass. In a nutshell, it is a pass that you can print out from the library or home that allows you to have a FREE family pass to participating locations. The Carlisle Public Library has chosen to partner with the Blank Park Zoo and Living History Farms. The Science Center will also soon be available.

How does it work? Adult library patrons in good standing from Carlisle, Hartford and the rural areas of Polk and Warren County can check out the pass through our library website www.carisleiowa.org/departments/carlisle-library/. Patrons can check out one pass for each venue once per 365 days. Check the website for the remaining parameters.

Regardless of your ability to pay for admission to these organizations on a regular day, you can take your family to the Zoo, Living History Farms, and Science Center for FREE! This is really what the library of today is all about- providing experiences for everyone. And we are so excited to be a part of it!
