News Items
Thank you!!
Thank you to staff who assisted with the distribution of students' belongings. With so many people assisting, it made this daunting task much easier!
Planning Time for Next Year
Joy will be doing most of the Kindergarten planning time next year and Melissa will be doing Grade 1-8 planning time. Melissa intends to get in touch with homeroom teachers this week to discuss what she might cover in the 40 minutes she will see your class each week.
Report Card Preparations
The Board has decided that all report cards will be mailed in the last week of June. Homeroom teachers will need to come in to the school to copy, envelope, and label report cards for distribution. There will be a report card letter sent home from the Board, that homeroom teachers will need to include with each report card being sent home. Term 2 IEP's will not go home with the report cards this term. For our grade 8's, a copy of the timetables from B.S.S. will also be included with the report card.
Shared Responsibilities List for 2020-2021
I realize I am sharing this with you early, but had a request for it. Thank you Lisa for making this into a Google Doc. I haven't heard yet whether there may be restrictions next year on some of the events/activities we usually do. Feel free to sign up if you are interested in something and we will figure things out as we go.
Missing Shoes
Ethan Wowk's black and white Nike shoes were not included with his other belongings. If one of your students reports' having received them in error, please let me know.
Visiting the School This Week
We will need to continue to use the Google Sheet for school visits. A maximum of 6 staff can sign up to be in the school at a time to work in your classrooms. This wouldn't include Ellen, Dan, Brodie, or I. Please sign up in half day slots. You do not have to go into the school, this is only if you feel you need to.
I noticed when looking at the sign in sheet that the information is not always being filled in. Teachers and support staff need to fill in their names, time in, time out and complete the COVID screening sections of the form. I'm sorry to have to insist on this but this is regulated by Public Health and is a condition of staff being able to continue to access the school.
