Cardinal Family Newsletter
It's A Great Day to Be a Cardinal!
April 6-10
Dear FFMS Students, Parents and Guardians:
I hope all of you and your families are healthy and well. Be sure to stay connected with loved ones and friends as much as possible, utilizing all that technology available during this unprecedented time . Staying connected will become increasingly important as each day passes. Please know that the entire staff at Felicity Middle School misses all the students and families and they are working together to afford your children opportunities for communication and lessons that best fit their needs during this time. We all look forward to the day when we can gather once again in the hallways and classrooms and return to learn together, and interact . Until then, continue to be resourceful, thoughtful, and determined to make this "new normal" the best it can be!
Just a few reminders for students and parents to make our remote learning experience the most successful:
Check school email and Schoology daily, and reach out to teachers or support staff for help and assistance.
Set up a daily routine for learning, exercise, and family time. Be intentional about designating specific hours for each.
Do not overthink or guess at what the future may hold, take everything one day at a time and remember we are all in this new adventure together. We will all have questions, make mistakes, and learn together!
Students will be receiving grades during this time, mainly for participating, attempting the lessons and communicating with teachers. There will not be any new content assigned to the students and teachers will update Schoology by Monday afternoon and Progress Book on Fridays. If your child is missing an assignment it will be shown as a missing assignment and they can make it up at anytime to receive full credit for doing. Teachers are available for students M-Th this week from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Friday is Good Friday so students and teacher are off.
Grade level teams have set up time to meet with the students via Google Meet . The students have received their invites to attend in Schoology and through Go Guardian. This is a great opportunity for the students to interact and see their teachers and fellow classmates.
Please reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns or something I can help you with. I want to help any way I can.
The parent survey is still open if you could fill it out if you haven't already. I have had about 77 parents complete but would like to have additional feedback. Thank you.
Thank you and have a great week!
