Jacobs was advancing to a combat position on a mission in Kieng Phong, when his troops came under intense machine gun and mortar fire. Even though he was injured he went back to save 14 other men and risked his life. Because of this action he received the Medal of Honor, the highest award in the armed forces.

During battle most of his body was paralyzed and he was in a wheelchair ever since. He started working for peace during the Vietnam war and became a leading role for all protesters.
Daniel Ellsburg
Daniel is partially known for a single act of courage. In 1969 he copied secrets of the Vietnam War through the pentagon papers. It went to the congress and the secrets of the war were leaked. Because of this he served 12 years in jail. Even after getting out of jail he still protested for the war.
Chi Nguyen
Chi Nguyen has dedicated herself to helping street children in Vietnam. She has held benefit concerts and sold her homemade almond toffee to raise over $31,000 to help Vietnamese children who have been abandoned. Working together with the Vietnam Health Education and Literature Projects, her fund-raising efforts have resulted in providing clothing, meals, literacy classes and basic medical needs for more than 100 orphans.
