Intern for a Day is Coming!
The UGA Career Center’s Intern For A Day Program is a volunteer "job shadowing" opportunity for students to spend 1 day observing and often working with professionals, investigating a career field, and experiencing a typical day or week on the job. This experience is not for credit or pay but greatly benefits both interns and sponsors. It allows a student to clarify career goals, while allowing the sponsor (or prospective employer) to evaluate a student’s interests, skills and abilities.
How do I participate? Attend a mandatory information session: We will discuss the application process, the employer participants, and benefits of the program. In addition, you will sign a waiver to participate in the program. Information sessions will be offered on the following dates:

Calling All Graduates!
The Career Center is currently collecting employment data on all 2019 UGA graduates (August 2018, December 2018, May 2019). Complete the survey for a chance to win a prize valued at $500. The winner of the $500 prize drawing may choose from a predetermined list of items, including DJI Phantom Drone, Xbox One X, PS4 Pro Game Console, 55” Sharp TV, Apple Watch, and more.
Post-graduation data is completely confidential, and is utilized in ranking procedures to increase the value of your degree, as well as to provide career guidance to current UGA students and alumni.

UGA Mentor Program Virtual Orientation Session

The UGA Mentor Program narrows down the world of possibilities to meaningful connections. We are personalizing the networking experience; connecting you with mentors that are just right for your commitment. Come to this 30 minute orientation to learn how to participate as a mentee in the UGA Mentor Program, the first university-wide mentor program at the University of Georgia.

International Student Drop-In Hours

Alumni Webinar: Time Management Tips for Your Job Search

Arch Ready: Introduction to Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace

Diversity and inclusion helps us to create an inclusive culture that encourages, supports, and celebrates the diverse perspectives and voices of our students. It fuels innovation and connects us closer to our students and the campus communities we serve. Come learn about identity and its challenges in the workplace, impact of a toxic work environment, and various other strategies and resources for addressing diversity related issues in the workplace.

Arch Ready Express Workshop: Ace the Interview
Date: Thursday, October 3
Time: 3:00pm - 3:30pm & 4:00pm - 4:30pm
Location: Clark Howell Hall Multipurpose Room (246)
This 30-minute express workshop will cover the top tips for acing the interview in 15 minutes, with an additional 15 minutes for questions. If you're in need of some quick interview tips in between classes, this workshop is for you! This workshop is open to ALL majors at UGA. This workshop is limited to 25 people per session and pre-registration is required.

Arch Ready: Video Interviewing
Date: Thursday, October 3

Virtual interviewing is becoming a more and more popular tool for evaluating applicants. Attend this presentation to learn how to navigate video interviewing, including the benefits and challenges of such platforms. Hear from professionals in the field who interview with these platforms and gain insight to improve your candidacy.

Local Government Career Panel

Join the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) for this panel discussion on careers in local government. If you're interested in serving the community and making a difference, local government can offer a rich and rewarding career path. This panel discussion will feature several local government leaders from throughout the state of Georgia, including Savannah Mayor Pro-Tem Carol Bell, Holger Loewendorf from the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) and 2-3 additional speakers TBA.

Open to all students at UGA—this workshop can be applied to major and career exploration. In this interactive workshop, you will learn about your personality and how this relates to majors and careers. In this workshop, you will:
• Learn the importance of self‐assessment and self‐knowledge related to career planning.
