It's a Great Year To Have a GREAT Year!
Welcome Back Coleman Families,
It's the start of the 2022-2023 school year! WOW, where did the summer go? It is my absolute pleasure and privilege to welcome students, staff and families back for another great year of learning and personal success. We look forward to partnering with you once again and plan to make this a fantastic year for all. Our theme this year is “Mission Possible”! We invite you to join us in modeling for our students that anything is possible when you have supportive friends/family, a good work ethic, good character and create a vision of the future you desire. In all these things, we will continue to be Difference Makers in the lives of others and ourselves.
Our secure vestibule is almost complete. THANK YOU MVR-III Voters! Safety and security is of the utmost importance and highest priority. My staff and I strive to perform our duties with the highest level of regard to honor the trust you place in us to care for your child every day.
If any member of our school team can be of assistance at any time, please contact us. We love hearing from you and look forward to working with your family again this year. In this newsletter, you will find a wealth of information and embedded links to make it easier to find what you need in one place.

Transportation
If your student will be a bus rider, we strongly encourage him/her to ride the bus to and from school on the first days of school. Students need to meet their bus driver and get into the routine of those normal procedures starting on day one. Help your child be successful and have a smooth transition to school by starting their day off with our friendly bus drivers. Parents are welcome to meet their student at school, on the first day, after they arrive on the bus and snap a picture outside. Bus Routes can be found be clicking on the link below.
Thursday, August 18th from 6-7 p.m.
Student supplies can be dropped off, meet the teachers, nurse, finish enrollment, enroll in SACC, sign up to volunteer with our FABULOUS PTO, and much more!
Families should arrive/depart during the time listed according to last name:
A-G: 6:00-6:20 - H-O: 6:20-6:40 - P-Z: 6:40-7:00
PTO sponsored events are both fun and memorable for all. Our PTO is dedicated to creating experiences that are designed for the whole family. Whether it is a movie night, game night, dance, or a Spring Fling you are sure to love each experience. This dedicated group needs your support in making sure these events are possible. We would love for each of our families to commit to helping with at least one event this year, after all, it takes a village! Get in touch with them today by emailing: mailto:colemanpto63089@gmail.com
Please make sure your child's health records are up to date, including all emergency contact information. If he/she has any type of medical issue or need that we need to be aware of please stop by Nurse Calvin's office to ensure she has what is needed to care for your child. Coleman Warriors are Difference Makers!!!
We are SMILE making,
CHALLENGE taking,
Earth SHAKING,
DIFFERENCE MAKING WARRIORS!
We have a new addition to our amazing office staff. Mrs. Missy Wibbenmeyer has joined our team and quickly implanted herself in our hearts as a valuable and caring member of our team. Both she and Mrs. Pechman are here to help you with anything you may need. Click on the clipart to view information and requirements regarding the enrollment process.
The district is also expanding the Watch D.O.G.S (Dads of Great Students) safety program at each K-8 building in the district. Watch D.O.G.S. is a national innovative program focusing on the prevention of violence in our children's schools by using the positive influence of fathers and father-figures for two purposes:
1) To provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
2) To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying. WATCH D.O.G.S. are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and any other father-figures who volunteer as a positive presence for at least one whole school day each year at an official WATCH D.O.G.S. school.

Breakfast & Lunch
Studies show that a healthy breakfast gives children a head start to a successful day. The cost of breakfast is $2.10 per day; lunch is $3.30 per day. Students may purchase extra milk for $.65 per carton. All money to be deposited into your student’s lunch account should be placed in an envelope with the student’s name, grade, teacher’s name, and the amount enclosed. MVR-III is asking that ALL families complete the free/reduced meal application to ensure continued funding to support ALL students in our district. Students from households that meet federal income guidelines are eligible to receive free or reduced-price meals. Periodic notices will be sent home regarding meal account balance and can also be accessed through the SIS Parent Portal System.
