The WHY Club Grades 6-8 (Wellness and Health for Youth)
The Wellness and Health for Youth (WHY) Club is an after school program, which will begin on Tuesday, September 21st and will run through the school year. The WHY Club meets on Mondays through Thursdays from 2:30-5:30. Please note that there are no participation time requirements for the Club, and families are free to participate in any or all dates/times the club is offered.
The WHY Club presents a safe and supervised after school option for families, while giving our students time to connect with their classmates and participate in fun and exciting activities. The Program is under the direct supervision Brandywine teachers: Mrs. Moore, Mrs. Pristash, and Mrs. Johnson, and they go to great lengths to provide fun activities ranging from physical fitness to cooking competitions, to career presentations. Another hallmark of this program as we look to connect our Middle School students to the High School is that High School students from our National Honor Society (NHS) and Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) assist in the day-to-day running of the program to help our students with school work and participation in the activities.
We would like to thank The Brandywine Heights Community Task Force, and the Brandywine Heights Area School District Board of Directors for their generous support that allows this program to be free of cost for our families.
