- Explain to me the flow of energy through a food chain? What does this mean?

- How did you do on your spelling test o contractions? What does the apostrophe in a contraction do?
Acceleration Exams (Math Telescoping)
They have posted the May/June 2017 Acceleration Exam Grades 1-5 Information Packet and Registration Form on the website.
The exam dates are May 20th and June 14th and the registration deadline is April 20, 2017. There is a direct link to our department page from the "For Parents & Students directory" for each of the acceleration exams or you can click here.

- Some students have requested some additional math homework come home (on paper). I will be sending this home every Friday. It is not mandatory, but if you would like to keep it for your student to do over the summer that would be a GREAT idea, or I have made a deal with the kids. The kids can turn it in, whenever, to receive "Hy Bucks." :) I hope this helps!

- Students will be able to solve word problems involving money.
Humanities:
- Students will be able to spell words with contractions.
- Students will be able to research historical figures.
- Students will be able to read, organize and present their ideas and information on their chosen research topic/historical person.
Science:
- Students will be able to evaluate the effects that environment has on organisms.
