What's New This Week?
Our main story selection this week is titled Jellies, and this is an informational text. In Lesson 10 our Essential Question is “How do you know if something is a fact or an opinion?” Target skills are fact & opinion, base words and suffixes -er, -est, and contractions.
In writing we will continue learning how to write to inform with instructions by writing a "How To" paper independently.

The math concept for Topic 6 is Mental Addition and students will be required to mentally add mulitples of 10 to a two digit number, mentally add a two digit number and a one digit number, mentally add a two digit number to a two digit number, and use a hundred chart to add 2 digit numbers. The problem solving concept will be using number patterns to solve problems.
This is a quick topic and we will be reviewing for our test in class on Thursday, test review homework for Thursday night, and our test on Friday.
