New Neenah High School Dedication Set for August 13
Free Student Lunches Offered During June
Free lunches will be accompanied by live entertainment, dress up days and prizes at three locations during June through the Neenah Joint School District lunch program.
Through June 30, lunches will be available Monday through Friday at Taft and Tullar Elementary Schools. Lunch will be served from 11-11:30 a.m. for summer school students and their siblings. Anyone 18 and under who resides in the District boundaries is welcome to attend from 11:30-11:45 a.m. All District children aged 0-18 may also get a free lunch at the Neenah Public Library from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Lunches at all locations must be consumed on site.
A Farewell to Shattuck
The public had a final opportunity to tour Shattuck Middle School on June 4. Nearly a thousand former students and staff as well as community members took a stroll down memory lane in the 95-year-old building that hosted students for the final time this past school year.
Shattuck Robotics Team Places Second in Division at World Championships
A team of Shattuck Middle School robotics students placed second among 78 teams in their division at the VEX Robotics World Championships in Dallas, Texas. The division featured teams from 27 different states and nine countries, including China, Taiwan, New Zealand, Paraguay and Spain. The Shattuck team included Oliver Bontorno, Sam Bontorno, Jacob Perry, and Nolan Manteufel.
The high school team finished its division with a 3-7 record and were competitive in all their matches. The team consisted of freshmen Jack DeMenter and Jack Henry.

EL Families Gather for Family Night
Community Reads to Taft Students
Taft held a read-a-thon with guest readers from throughout the community. Readers included Neenah Mayor Jane Lang and representatives from the Neenah Police Department, Neenah-Menasha Fire Department, ThedaCare, Marine Corps, YMCA and Neenah Public Library, among others.
4K Students Hold Annual Concert
Four-year-old kindergarten students from across the District held their annual concert at Riverside Park. Each class performed three songs and then all students took the stage for a final group performance. Concerts were held for both the morning and afternoon classes.

Neenah Applauds Student Abilities With Special Event
An inaugural NASA (Neenah Applauding Student Abilities) day was held at Neenah High School for about 90 students from all levels and all schools across the District. The day celebrated those students with adaptive PE or other student disabilities.
The event started with a kickoff event in Pickard Auditorium and then proceeded to Rocket Stadium for games and activities. High school student volunteers assisted in running the games and activities while being student champions alongside their peers.

1600-Meter Relay Wins State Track Title
Neenah's 1600-meter relay team of CJ Fredrickson, Owen Wise, Ethan Snider and Grant Dean captured the WIAA Division 1 state boys track title with a school-record time of 3:18.24.
The Rockets held off Arrowhead by .13 seconds to take the title. It was the fourth state champion relay team in Neenah boys track history. Along with the 3200-meter relay teams in 1996 and 1998, the other state champion was also the previous 1600-meter relay school record holder as the team of Don Gullickson, Lyle Pingel, Nathan Carlson and Greg Schaller posted a school record time of 3:19.6 during the 1971 season before winning the state title later that year.

Ziebell Selected to USA Under-19 National Basketball Team
Neenah High School junior Allie Ziebell has been selected to the USA women’s basketball under-19 national team that will participate in the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) World Cup July 15-23 in Madrid, Spain.
Ziebell is one of 12 athletes to earn a spot on the team, which consists of six players who recently completed their freshman year of college at major programs such as South Carolina, UCLA and Ohio State, as well as four high school seniors. Ziebell is one of two high school juniors named to the squad coached by Joni Taylor, who is the head coach at Texas A&M University.
Ziebell, the Wisconsin Gatorade High School Player of the Year this past season, is the fourth player from Wisconsin chosen for the team in its 15 editions and the first while as a Wisconsin high school player. The other three Wisconsin athletes all were selected while already in college.
