Mr. Anderson - Language Arts
They will also be reviewing reading strategies covered so far, including using the plot diagram and the descriptive matrix.
Ms. Bosse - Math
Math 6 & Extended Math 6- Still working with fractions. I will be working in small groups with some students who are lacking some of the basic adding and subtracting fraction skills before we build on it by applying them to real world problems. We will quiz on word problems involving adding and subtracting on Thursday. By the end of next week we will begin multiplying and finish up November with multiplying and dividing fractions.
Mr. Cardone - Social Studies
Students have begun doing their presentations on their Native American tribe this week and they will continue next week. Study guides for the test were also distributed today and are due for lifework on Tuesday 11/17. We will test on Thursday.
Mr. Cardone - Science
Students will complete their virtual lab on chemical reactions on Monday, please remind them to bring headphones so they can listen to the audio portion of the lab. On Wednesday study guides will be distributed and we will test on Tuesday 11/24, the day that Science Fair proposal forms are due.
Introduction to World Languages – 6th grade – 18 weeks
Next week, the students will be working on a project about “Celebraciones en Latinoamerica”. They are also continuing to practice their Spanish skills using Quizlet. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. ¿Muchas Gracias y Hasta pronto!
