Summer Emory Science Internships
- The Atlanta Sickle Cell Summer Research Program is sponsored by the National Institutes of Health and conducted by Morehouse School of Medicine, Emory University Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplantation, and Georgia Institute of Technology. For more information, see the attached flyer and link to the website at: http://www.msm.edu/Education/PipelinePrograms/SickleCell.php. The application link will be accessible beginning next week 2/1/17, and application will be accepted until 3/31/17.
- The Division of Animal Resources (DAR) of the School of Medicine of Emory University in partnership with Druid Hills High School brings forward a twelve-week, half-time paid summer employment opportunity. We are looking for highly motivated high school students who will be seniors in the autumn of 2017 and are interested in pursuing a career after graduation from high school in the care of laboratory animals. This experience is a gateway for a future permanent hire into an entry level career position with DAR.

Sports Updates
- Basketball: Congrats to Jordan Foote, Region All-Star 2nd Team, and Dillan Hall and Elijah Durham, Honorable Mention. Region Tournament action begins today for the boys, who travel to Eastside @ 6pm and the ladies, traveling to N. Clayton tomorrow @ 7:30.
- Football: Congratulations to Isaiah Dawson for accepting a scholarship to Berry College during 2017 National Signing Day!
- Swimming: Congrats to Lee Haber for placing 6th in state in the 200 IM and 7th in the 100 breast stroke.
- Wrestling: Congrats to Artavis Brown (10th), DeShaun Baker (4th) and Demarco Mosley (2nd) for placing at this weekend's Sectionals. DeShaun and Demarco qualified for the State Championships.
