Rock Hill Review

Opening Up
Another concern from both parents and students is regarding course offerings at PHS and RHHS. Due to the split that comes with now having two high schools, the number of classes at both campuses will decrease. This natural occurrence is driving us to strategically plan in order to ensure students at both PHS and RHHS have the same opportunities. With that being said, we are continually in discussions with Collin College and our PISD Advanced Academics Department to develop a plan for the 2020-2021 school year. This was a major focus in meeting with Collin College this week to discuss our dual credit classes at RHHS. Rest assured we will do all we can to provide students at both campuses the same opportunities.
Lastly, this week I was able to spend time collaborating with several other Campus Principals on the great things that are taking place throughout the district. On Monday, I met with all of the Secondary Principals and then on Wednesday I met with Principals of the schools that will feed into Rock Hill High School. It's always great to join forces with some of the best educators around and it's exciting to hear about all of the amazing things our kids are involved in around PISD.
RHHS Students at Work
This week we met with our RHHS class of 2021 and focused on the Diploma design for Rock Hill High School (Yes, we are already talking Diplomas!!!). In addition, the Crest ideas have been sent to a couple of sketch artists who will be providing us final Crest designs for the students to vote on soon. I can't wait to see what Crest design will be established for RHHS!
We are also in the process of having our Class of 2022 students define what our CORE Values mean to them. We've had considerable response from them and it's evident they are taking pride in this process, wanting to leave their mark on Rock Hill. Next week the Class of 2022 will begin the process of devising their class motto.

If a student is not currently on the list to be drafted for these meetings during Eagle Time, please have them email the Campus Secretary, Erin Jones (eljones@prosper-isd.net) to be added. If a student is drafted by a teacher during the Rock Hill High School meeting times, that will take priority over the RHHS meeting.
