January Guidance
ABRI DATA
Students have earned a total of 44 referrals this school year so far. This number is much higher than in previous years. During the past 3 school years, we had 22 referrals (2016-2017) and 25 referrals (2015-2016). However, in 2014-2015 we had 41 referrals. That year actually ended up being lower in referrals that other years. THERE IS STILL HOPE FOR THIS TO BE A RECORD LOW YEAR!
Please be teaching and reteaching expectations as we return from break and potential snow days.
GOOD NEWS!
Please share this with your students and encourage them to continue to come to school all day every day. If we are first, Mrs. Esterle HAS TO KISS A PIG!
And many of you have asked where I will find a pig. . . .I already have one. My husband works with a woman named Rachel. She and her wife Kat have several animals, including Charlotte the Pig. They have agreed to bring Charlotte to school for Mrs. Esterle to kiss.
ANNNNNNND. . .in case you were wondering. . .Charlotte LOVES kisses.
January-February: ACCESS for ELs Testing. All ELL (English Language Learners) will need to take the Access test. It usually takes the majority of the day for one students to complete the test. I will get with their teachers to schedule and arrange.
February 21-23rd: Kentucky School Counseling Conference. I will be out of the building for 3 days to attend the conference in Lexington.
March 16, 2018: I will be travelling to Atlanta to visit the Ron Clark Academy. I think I will only miss one day, since it is a Friday program.
Mid to late March: College and Career Readiness Week. More information will be coming.
CAREER FAIR WILL BE MOVED TO MARCH and included as part of College and Career Readiness Week.
March 26, 2018: 4th and 5th graders will be travelling to Stage One. I will complete all the forms and get information to teachers closer to that date.
April 16-April 20, 2018: Arts Week with our Fund for the Arts Team. More information will be coming.
May 7th- May 25th: Currently K-Prep Window. It is the last 14 days of instruction, so snow days will change this, but this is the current K-PREP window.
Ride. Hide. Fight.
