Bel Air Parents,

On behalf of the Bel Air staff, we want to thank you for all who donated frozen treats for staff this week, it was greatly appreciated. In addition, thank you to several families who also donated items directly to classrooms. We are looking forward to cooler temperatures next week. Construction crews have been working on restoring air conditioning to the entire building and still planning for the beginning of next week.

Second Step

This month, our school wide theme is our school as a welcoming place where every student feels like they belong. In our morning announcements we’ll be reminding students to welcome others and act and speak in safe, respectful, and responsible ways. In addition we’ll be reminding students of our school rules of being respectful, responsible and ready to learn.

We’ll also begin teaching the Second Step program, which includes lessons that support these behaviors.

Support your child at home in welcoming others and acting and speaking in safe, respectful, and responsible ways. Please tell your child’s teacher if you have questions about specific ways you can help your child with these behaviors at home.

Learn About the Levy

For the first time in 13 years, Mounds View Public Schools is asking residents to consider a levy increase. If approved, the District will have more reliable funding to provide stable class sizes and consistent programs for students – for the next 10 years. What’s the direct impact at SCHOOL NAME? The School Board invites you to attend a levy informational meeting WHEN, WHERE. All are welcome to attend, ask questions and learn more about the levy. For more information, visit
