Community Exploration volunteers needed! We are in need of SLA-MS family volunteers during 7th grade community exploration on Wednesday 2pm-3:20pm. Students will be exploring the high school application process and other community opportunities. We need volunteers to be with the 7th graders during this class time. If interested, contact Ms.Potts, Community Partnership Coordinator, dpotts@philasd.org or complete this availability and information form.
Books and Books! Scholastic book orders can be placed through Ms. Grieco! Stop by room 206 to receive the flyer and order form or go online at scholastic.com/bookclubs and use the Class Code G2328. Each month there are great deals for your home library and purchases earn points toward new books for our classroom libraries! Help SLA-MS create a community that reads and shares books together!
Pick up/Dismissal: We understand it can be hard to pick up students with no parking. Please do not block the trolley, bike paths and any other public transportation. This will keep everyone safe. A suggestion is to set up a pick up point with your student close to the school.
Wear Layers! We've noticed some students are chilly in classrooms. Having a light sweater or hoodie will keep your student comfortable and focused on learning.
