Host Family Needed
Greenheart, a nonprofit, is in need of a replacement host family unexpectedly for one of our US State Department sponsored YES scholarship students who is attending Robbinsdale Armstrong. Her current host family was unable to continue hosting due to a transportation issue, and we are searching for a new family for her so that she can continue to attend Robbinsdale Armstrong. Our student is female, from Indonesia, and doing well at Robbinsdale Armstrong, and we would prefer to keep the student in the same school since she really likes it. A replacement host family provides a room (may be shared with a host sibling the same sex of similar age), meals and a caring environment for their student. Our student speaks English well, she has medical insurance and her own spending money. Our student is Muslim and does not eat pork, and has no pet allergies. She enjoys spending time with friends, playing card games, watching movies, cooking spicy Indonesian food, and would love to join a club or activity at Robbinsdale Armstrong. We need a replacement host family for her starting approximately January 2 through early June. Since she is a scholarship student, she is involved in volunteering and she attends group enhancement activities approximately once per month with Greenheart, her exchange student program. For more information about hosting our young lady from Indonesia, please contact Local Coordinator Mary Armstrong at 952-657-3406 / email: armstrong.mary@mac.com / website: www.greenheart.org
