Our last set of students to compete in their UIL contests this year is our fabulous band under the excellent direction of Mr. Bernard Rosenberg and Mrs. Shawna Lien. These contests will take place in April. Good luck to all of these students, as well!

Upcoming 16th Annual History Faire & Culture Fest!
It's already that time of year for our awesome History Faire & Culture Fest. We hope to see you and your family enjoying the numerous booths and static displays featuring such history and culture as our Viking House, Pioneer Wagon, branding station, Medieval and Renaissance periods, Civil War Period, World Wars, American History Native American Culture, Indian Culture, and alike. We will have performers, historical re-enactments and culture groups, as well.
Come learn about Buffalo Soldiers or take a tour of a UH60 military medical evacuation helicopter static display. We will also have food, snow cones, sodas and bottled water for you to enjoy as you walk our famous History Hill for the day.
So, we look forward to seeing you next Saturday, April 1st, from 10:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m. on History Hill in the back of our campus at Tejeda for our 16th Annual History Faire & Culture Fest!
Battle of Flowers Parade Tickets!
Are you interested in going to Fiesta? Tejeda is selling seats for both the Battle of Flowers Parade (Friday, April 28).
Our bank of seats are located at the intersection of Navarro and Commerce.
TICKETS ARE CURRENTLY ON SALE! Below is a listing of the tickets that are still available for purchase.

Please email Randy Guzman at rguzma@neisd.net if you are interested in purchasing tickets for $12 each. PLEASE INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN YOUR EMAIL: YOUR NAME,CONTACT INFORMATION, NAME OF PARADE & NUMBER OF TICKETS. At that time, I will secure seats for you. I will send you a confirmation email, including when your tickets will be available for pick-up in the main office. Once you receive your confirmation email, you will need to see Irene Cantu in the Tejeda Middle School main school office to pay for and pick up your tickets as soon as possible. We will accept ONLY CASH or MONEY ORDERS for tickets, NO checks or credit cards. Due to high demand for tickets, we will only be able to hold them for you for one day. After that, we will release them to be sold to others.
The tickets will also be listed on the Fiesta web page, for sale to the public. They will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

HISTORY FAIRE DONATIONS & VOLUNTEERS: We need food and drink donations for our Hospitality Suite that provides meals, snacks, and drinks to all of our History Faire volunteers, presenters, and performers. DONATE YOUR USED BOOKS UNTIL 3/31: We need your used books, DVDs, CDs, etc. for our annual North East Council of PTAs Used Book Sale. Every student who donates gets a Tejeda mechanical pencil. The top donor per grade level gets to SILLY STRING an administrator! The top 3 donors per grade level win an autographed graphic novel from George O'Connor when he visits! Please use the link to print our your donation form! In order for your donation to count towards prizes, please tape or staple the form to your donation! Collection area will be located by the school's main entrance. We will be offering curbside drop off the mornings of March 27th-31st. APRIL 18th, 6-8 PM, TEJEDA PTA FAMILY WELLNESS NIGHT: Join us for a night of fitness and fun! T-Wolves Take 30 and come work out with your family for at least 30 minutes and earn extra credit points on a test! Take a brain break and do Jazzercise with Mrs. Bulcher, Crossfit exercises, and karate. Visit our community sponsors, shop the SA Food Bank Mobile Mercado for fresh produce, and work out! Be on the lookout for more info.
