- WordPress - It's popular with bloggers due to it's flexibility and ease of use. Perfect for beginning bloggers!
- Blogger - Owned by Google, this is the best option for those who are looking for something quick and simple. This is one of the best sites for a beginning blogger.
- Ghost - This is a blog site similar to WordPress but with more advanced features. This is a better option for more experienced blogger.
- Tumblr - This is great for those wanting to do a short blog with lots of gifs and memes. However, if you want to have a lot of text, this is not the best option.
- Weebly - This is an excellent option for those who want to combine their blogging skills with website building. Easy to use drag and drop features make this a popular choice for bloggers.
- Medium - For those who do not want to be full time bloggers but who want to get a feel of what blogging is like, Medium is a great choice. Simple and easy to use, it will allow you to get your ideas out to the world in no time.
- Wix - Similar to Weebly in terms of it being a combination of blog site and website builder. Easy to use and great for beginning bloggers.
- Squarespace - For those who are really picky about the design and layout of their blog, Squarespace is the best option for you as you will be able to put together a very visually appealing site.
- Penzu - If you are blogging for journaling purposes or you are new to blogging, this is a great option. You can make your blog public or private, depending on who you want to see what you are writing about.
- SVBTLE - It’s slick, simple, and suave. A great platform for bloggers and a great way for writers to grow and develop their ideas.
Tips for Blogging
2. Know Your Audience - You are blogging to explain to readers if you would continue reading the second series in the book. Most likely you are writing for a teen audience so you want to be sure that you are including things that teens would want to see.
3. Have a List of Ideas - Before you start your blog, it is a good idea to list your ideas! Know what you want to put into your blog beforehand and that will help you organize your thoughts.
4. Keep Your Visuals Simple - There will be the temptation to overload your blog post with memes and gifs. Although these are great tools to use, they should only be used as enhancements to your blog.
5. Be Consistent - It's easy to get distracted or get off topic from your original blog post idea. It is important to stay consistent when writing your blog and stick the message the you want to convey.
