Happy...Thursday!
Sorry for the late Smore this week! I don't think I have seen my office at all because I have been testing grades 2 - 8 for MAP in Language, Reading, and Math. The kids are doing great. It has been a packed week of testing, but we will finish today and the scores are looking really good overall!! We will send the results home with final report cards in June. For grades 1-6, we will do AAPPL testing on Monday, June 3rd and Tuesday, June 4th. They will be doing the "speaking" component, where they have a conversation in Spanish with an avatar. Those results will be available by the end of June.
Check out the info below for all of the upcoming events. If you purchased roller skating and/or paint ball, don't forget that the permission slips are due today!! We have sent them out twice this week and still do not have all of them in. The child cannot attend without a completed permission slip.
One last item, please send your child with a water bottle on PE days...it is getting very warm outside. Thank you!!

Wed, May 29 - Roller Skating (all grades - purchased at auction, if permission slip is present)
Thurs, May 30 - Paint Ball (Age 10 and up - purchased at auction, if permission slip is present)
Fri, May 31 - Last regular all school mass hosted by grade 3, Student Council assembly/voting (10:30 in the auditorium)

Tues, June 4 - AAPPL Testing (Grades 1 - 6)
Tues, June 4 - 7th Grade Awards at St. Frances Cabrini at 12 pm
Tues, June 4 - 8th Grade Retreat at Lake Lawrence
Fri, June 7 - Graduation Mass at 9 am (hosted by grade 8), breakfast immediately following, then graduation that evening at 6 pm (all in auditorium)
Mon, June 10 - Thurs, June 13 Free Dress (for students from the auction)...alternate week is June 3rd - 6th (not valid on Friday, June 7th for graduation) THIS CAN STILL BE PURCHASED FOR $25 PER STUDENT THROUGH THE FRONT OFFICE.
Tues, June 11 - Field Day (Colors, TBD)
Wed, June 12 - Adios Amigos at 10 am with noon dismissal for all Pre-K students, Kindergarten graduation at 6:00 pm
Thurs, June 13 - Last day of school, noon dismissal and no extended care
Field Day Help Needed! Volunteer Hours for 2019-20
Mr. Ramirez will also need several helpers from 12:30 - 3 for the K - 8 Field Day. Anyone that can volunteer, please email Mr. Ramirez or Hazel Tate for instructions, details, and times and to let us know you can help. Since hours have already been counted (and billed) for the 2018-19 school year, we can count these for the 2019-20 school year!! Thank You!
